It has no melting point, resists most acids, alkalis, solvents and steam across the full pH 0–14 range, and works from -100°C to +260°C. Three supply options are available — plain carbonized fiber yarn, glass fiber core reinforced yarn, and PTFE impregnated yarn — and the reinforcement and impregnation can be combined where a higher-density packing is needed.
